Our Mission

To improve health and justice outcomes for people who have experienced violence.

Specifically, we do this in four key ways:

1. understanding the impact violence has on health

2. examining the relationships between violence and interconnected health and social justice issues

3. evaluating the role of healthcare providers and systems on justice outcomes

4. developing, implementing, and evaluating multidisciplinary interventions to prevent and respond to violence as a syndemic issue

To create and support systems in which the health and justice needs of all are met.
